THE LATE MATTIA PASCAL
Limited edition of 500. Green and red cloth with paper labels at spine and front board. Very good plus in like jacket with slight foxing to labels, light edgewear and toning to textblock. DJ suffers some toning and edgewear. A remarkably clean and bright copy in a scarce dust jacket. Pirandello's macabre and comic novel, first published in Italy in 1903, was adopted for the screen by French director Marcel L'Herbier starring Ivan Mosjoukine in the title role. The film also marked the screen debut of Michel Simon.
